Outskirts of the city is now more costly then CBD residential areas.   AHMEDABAD..... ..... Huge NRI funds were recently invested in residential segment of the city. Commercial too is feeling the heat. Residential rates are marginally up by 20% since last quarter. The trend is likely to continue.   BANGALORE...... ...IT and ITES are again in the buying spree. Residential complexes are getting good demand. NRIs investments are up again. Service apartment concept is catching up in the city. Commercial lease rentals are rising.   PUNE.... ... Pune is poised as IT centre by the developers. In fact many leading IT brands are in the city. It has enhanced the residential rates. Outskirts like Viman Nagar, Pimpari and Chinchwad also now having great demand. Good time ahead.   DELHI .... ...The market is slow for residential units. Noida and Gurgaon also have touched historic level. New zones are in the competition. Faridabad and Merut along with Rohtak are busy catering for demand in Delhi and NCR    MUMBAI.. ..... ..Realty Fund and investors of large real estate holdings are still maintaining the price level. Developing zones are feeling heat. Small pocket developers are also panic in the market. Residential prices stagnated as of now.

Information Technology Sector to be Encouraged : Reddy

The Minister for Urban Development, Shri Jaipal Reddy has said that his Ministry would consider the idea of having a Open City Centre Plaza and Pedestrianizing designated area in identified cities in country. He said that the idea would be further explored, as the project would not require much funds. Shri Reddy was chairing the meeting of the Consultative Committee for the Ministry of Urban Development here today. Giving this idea, Dr. Abhishek Manu Singhvi, the Rajya Sabha Member said that most towns or state capitals have a history and heritage and are in dilapidated or decayed condition because of lack of resources. He said a pilot scheme on this line may be taken up by the Urban Development Ministry in about 20 cities. Shri Jagdish Tytler, Lok Sabha Member requested Shri Jaipal Reddy to encourage service sectors like Information Technology in Delhi to provide jobs in those sectors to our young intellectuals in the capital. He also said that Tourism and Hotel Industry may also be taken up in Delhi to get more jobs for future generations. In reply, Shri Jaipal Reddy said that the issue is under active consideration of the Ministry. Stating that Information Technology Sectors is playing a dominant role in Delhi, the Minister stated that service sector should be encouraged and projected. Shri Reddy said his Ministry would look into creating scope for Information Technology Sector. The points raised by Shri Tytler would be considered while finalizing the Delhi Master Plan 2021. Shri Sajjan Kumar, Lok Sabha Member urged the Chairman to keep the Commonwealth Games in the agenda for the next Consultative Committee Meeting. Accepting the suggestion, Shri Jaipal Reddy said that the Delhi Development Authority, Government of Delhi and Sports Authority of India are involved in the Commonwealth Games and the Central Public Works Department and the Delhi Development Authority are executing the work. Another member told the CPWD to construct buildings to give ethnic look of the region.

The member also asked the agency to design or develop a concept for building cheap dwelling unit for poor people in the states. Another member asked about the impact of RTI Act on the working of CPWD. The other members who attended today’s meeting are Shri. N.Y. Hanumanthappan, Shri. Lalmuni Chaubey, Shri Swadesh Chakraborthy, Shri. V. Radhakrishnan, Shri. A.H. Khan Chowdhury, Shri Madan Lal Sharma, Shri. Ravi Prakash Verma, Shri P. Ravindran- all Lok Sabha Members; Shri Prasanta Chatterjee, Rajya Sabha Member.
