PROCEDURE FOR OBTAINING CERTIFICATION AS A PRIVATE IT PARK
This document describes the procedure for obtaining certification as a Private IT Park. 1.) Who can convert to a Private IT Park? In order to encourage the growth of the IT sector and enable maximum number of units to avail of the benefits provided to IT units, the Government has provided a facility for private premises to be converted to the status of a Private IT Park. In order to qualify for conversion to a Private IT Park, the premises or property for which the application is being made should confirm to the following minimum prescribed norms: PRESCRIBED NORMS FOR CONVERSION OF PREMISES TO A PRIVATE IT PARK
Applications for conversion of property / premises to a Private IT Park need to be made to the : Development Commissioner (Industries) Directorate of Industries Mantralaya, Mumbai Ph.: 22028100 3.) Documents to be submitted along with the application? A format of the Application Form to be submitted to the Development Commissioner is attached as Annexure 1 to this document. Application for Letter of Intent for proposed Private IT Park / Registration of Existing IT Park / Conversion of Letter of Intent to Registration of Private IT Park (to be submitted along with application fee of Rs. 1,000/- per application by way of RBI Challan. Whether N.A. Permission is issued by Collector concerned for Information Technology Park: 6. Whether located in Permissible Zone / Regional Plan / Development Plan: (Enclose Zone Confirmation certificate from Municipal Corporation / Municipal Council / Town Planning Dept. / Other concerned local authority) 7. Whether ULC Exemption U/S 20 of the ULC Act is obtained from D.I. (Please enclose copy wherever applicable) 8. Whether issued Letter of Intent / Registration as Private IT Park earlier by Directorate of Industries (If so, please enclose copy) 9. Whether NOC under Industrial Location Policy was issued by Directorate of Industries in the past. If so, please mention No. and Date : 10. Details of Built up area to be constructed / constructed in the following format, duly certified by Chartered Architect.

I further undertake to use and ensure the use of the premises (including land and built up area) of the Information Technology Park exclusively for Information Technology units and support services and infrastructure.
