Mumbai: With increasing focus on budget flats in Mumbai’s outskirts, the 2nd Suburban Twin Property 2012 exhibition organized by MCHI Mira-Virar City Unit and MCHI- Kalyan-Dombivali Unit of Maharashtra Chamber of Housing Industry’s (MCHI) evoked massive response, recording over 55,000 footfalls.
MCHI units of Mira – Virar & Kalyan – Dombivali organized the 2nd Suburban twin Property 2012 exhibitions held at Maxus Mall Bhayander and Sarvodaya Mall – Kalyan with the support from State Bank of India, Indiabulls Home Loans, HDFC Ltd. and ICICI Bank Home Loans.
Speaking on the success of the expo, Mr. Boman Irani, President, MCHI Mira-Virar City Unit said “This shows that Mira-Virar region has become a favorable destination for homebuyers. Majority of developers have received serious enquiries and bookings at the exhibition which clearly demonstrated that MCHI’s initiatives to ensure complete transparency in all property deals, are well appreciated.”
Mr. Bandish Ajmera, President, MCHI Kalyan-Dombivali unit said: “We are extremely happy at the tremendous response that the exhibition generated. I think the wide range of properties and different price points attracted the anxious home seekers and we at MCHI are happy to contribute to the emerging trend of the suburban areas becoming new destinations for home buyers.”
Several properties of different range and size were showcased by developers from Shahapur, Karjat, Titwala, Kalyan, Dombivali and Mira Road, Bhayandar, Vasai, Nallasopara and Virar many of whom were offering handsome discounts and freebies for on the spot bookings. Many developers tied up with home financers to save the trouble and time of running around. The popularity of the exhibitions demonstrated that the home seekers faith in “MCHI Hai Toh Bharosa Hai” is on the increase.

BHAYANDER: With its focus on budget flats, the four-day MCHI Suburban Property Exhibition 2012 kicked off at Maxus Mall, Bhayander West, on Republic Day with 50 developers showcasing their properties along side 7 home loans companies.
A wide array of properties in the rapidly developing Mira-Vasai to Palghar-Boisar stretch on the Western Railway suburban network was showcased under one roof at the four-day mega show.
The exhibition was inaugurated by Shri. Sanjeev Naik, MP, Thane and Shri, Baliram Jadhav, MP Vasai- Virar. The Mayor for Vasai Virar , Mr. Rajeev Patil also graced the event. The Guest of Honour are Shri Gilbert Mendonca, MLA, Mira – Bhayander, and Shri. Vilas Tare,

He added that he was expecting over 20,000 people in the coming days.
Dr. Sanjeev Naik, MP, Thane who inaugurated the exhibition was very supportive and assured MCHI that he on his part would work towards the overall development of the region and provide basic facilities to its people, namely water and electricity supply.
Mr. Baliram Jadhav, Hon’ble Member of Parliament, Vasai-Virar and chief guest at the event lit the lamp and said that today being Republic Day “I wish that every citizen should have provided with homes with good facilities and that children should have proper amenities and thanked MCHI MVC for taking up this cause”.

Mr. Vikram Kumar, Municipal Commissioner of Mira Bhayander Municipal Corporation, said he is personally keen to ensure speedy development of the area and provide superior infrastructure facilities and infrastructure and make Mira-Virar a better place.
He also promised to look into clearance of building proposals in a time-bound manner.
Mr. Yogesh Bosmiya, Treasurer, MCHI Mira – Virar City, said that banks are more forthcoming with home loans now and that this is perhaps the best time to buy as he expects prices to rise by April.
Mr. Shailesh Sanghvi, Hon. Secretary, MCHI Mira-Virar City explains that over the past decade, the main change is that Mira Road-Virar has overcome the ‘budget’ residential tag. Expensive amenities are being offered in some new projects in this area. AT one time such living was only available in Borivali-Dahisar and south of that, but today a home seeker wants similar amenities in Mira-Virar and he gets them in new complexes here.

Speaking to reporters later, Mr. Bandish Ajmera, President, MCHI Kalyan–Dombivali unit thanked the Mayor, Mrs. Gholap and both the Commissioner’s for being present at the event. He further added that “the exhibition will also provide an excellent opportunity for buyers of getting their dream home financed by leading banks and financial institutions who are at service at the venue. Pune: The 12th edition of `Constro-2012′- International Fair on Construction Machinery, Materials, Methods and Projects, a premier international fair organized by the Pune Construction Engineering Research Foundation (PCERF) was formally launched in the city today. The international fair – 12th in the series will be held in the city from 12th to 15th January 2012

Overview: The Union Ministry of Housing and Urban Poverty Alleviation (“Ministry”) has published the draft Model Real Estate (Regulation of Development) Act (“Model Act”). The Model Act, as the name suggests, proposes to lay down what is expected to be a regulation for adoption by all states within India. The Model Act proposes to establish a regulatory authority to control and promote construction, sale, transfer and management of colonies, residential buildings, apartments and other similar properties. Government of Maharashtra is looking to introduce RERA in state budget session.
