Meet on Global warming and Sustainable development at Thiruvananthapuram

A three-day international conference on global warming, climate change, sustainable development and secular spirituality shall be hold at Santhigiri Ashram, Thiruvanantapuram, Kerala from the 9th -11th September, 2010.

The meet has been organised by the Santhigiri Research Foundation in collaboration with Unesco, the American Center and TERI -The Energy and Resources Institute at New Delhi.

The meet is expected to be attended by more than 400 delegates from 20 countries across the globe shall be inaugurated by the President of East Timor and 1996 Nobel Peace laureate, Jose Ramos Manuel-Horta, on September 9th.

The conference is expected to facilitate administrators, policy makers, scientists, social scientists and activists to gather and devise programmes to promote a way of life and development that is sustainable.
