Taj needs no recognition
By Sanjay Chaturvedi
When President Mushraf visited it in his official visit, there was no boundary issue. When president Bill Clinton visited it, he missed his wife. Queen of UK, Princess of Adenbra, Lady Daina and many queens and kings of no wisdom have been visiting it. The glory of Taj cannot be measured with the votes it receives for inclusion in seven wonders of the world. The process started by some vested interest who wanted to enhance foot fall and promote tourism in their country. It is a best way to recognise, their mediocre or may be heritage gracefully wonderful structures, to the list of Seven Wonders of the world. When Seven wonders of the world existed for centuries, why this process of re-recognising started? The west wants it to be because the reason is written on the wall. Maximum entries came from west. They may also succeed in getting the status by employing advanced voting techniques and their veto power in the institutions but from where will they bring the glory of Taj which fascinates every individual who have visited it irrespective of his caste, creed and nationality. The wonderful edifice created by Mugal king in 1700 century is always a source for inspiration for love and faith. We the human are having feelings which make us different from animals. What a way to express love which now fascinates presidents and pedestrians with the same sentiments. Can a process of recognition make it less glorified? Can some one from any part of the world wants to give away his desire to visit Taj at once? Can the so called “Wonder” title to others make Taj forgotten monuments? Taj requires no recognition. It will continue to fascinate till the love last in the world. It is a Wonder which requires no endorsements. After all, Taj got its due credit. Very well deserves to be in 7 wonders of the world.
