ACC said its August sales have improved by a little over 7% to 1.65 million tons as compared to the same month last year.

In August, 2008, ACC despatched 1.54 million tons of cement.

ACC produced 1.63 million tons of cement in August 2009 as compared to 1.52 million tons in August, 2008.

ACC`s total production for the first eight months of the current year ending Aug. 31, 2009 stood at 14.48 million tons as against 13.83 million tons in the corresponding period last year.

Despatches increased by 0.63 million tons during the first eight months of the current year at 14.49 million tons as compared to 13.86 million tons in the same period last year.
