Indian Green Building Council is organising India’s flagship event on green buildings, The 8th Green Building Congress 2010 .The event shall take place at the Chennai Trade Centre from 5th October onwards till 9th October 2010.
The event shall have participation of countries like Australia, Canada, Singapore, Sri Lanka, UAE, United States of America and UK. Over 2000 participants are expected to attend the conference.
The exhibition that has been organized as a part of the event shall have 200 stalls that would attract thousands of visitors that would include Architects, Builders, Developers, Institutions, Green Product Manufacturers, Green Equipment Manufacturers, Consultants, Government Officials, Corporates and more. Products like Acoustical materials and Systems, Adhesives & Sealants, Doors & Windows, Aerocon Blocks, BMS, Carpets, Certified wood, Chillers, Eco-friendly furnitures, Housekeeping chemicals, false ceiling tiles, Glass & Glazing, Gypsum Board, HVAC equipment & systems, Lighting fixtures, Naturally ventilated system, Paints & Coatings, Pumps, Roof Garden, Roof & Wall insulation, UPVC windows, variable speed drives shall be displayed at the counters.
The conference would have participation of various eminent speakers like Dr. Ar. Balkrishna V. Doshi, Ar. Karan Grover, Ms. Chitra Vishwanath, Mr. Shahrukh Mistry, Ar. Christopher Benninger from India and few others from abroad.
The event shall have Advanced Training Programme on Green Building Rating System , a workshop on energy simulations in Green Buildings, various seminars and an international conference on Green Buildings along with the exhibition on green materials.
