Architects & Developers in 30 cities to be feted
· Talent recognition drive by CSI and Snowcem Paints
· First time in India dedicated to protection, preservation and cityscape
· Hand crafted Italian Murano award trophies to be presented
MUMBAI, October 28, 2010: In a unique nation-wide campaign to encourage talent and achievers among architects and developers, a project has been instituted to give awards for them. Encouraged by the success of the awards events in Mumbai, Bangalore and Ahmedabad over a year, Construction Source India (CSI) in association with Snowcem Paints, has decided to hold the 4th edition of the CSI awards for Architecture / Design Excellence & Building Infrastructure Development on October 30, 2010 at Hotel JW Marriot, Mumbai.
CSI has this year added two new categories of awards Excellence in Exterior Heritage Restoration dedicated to protection and preservation and Outstanding Cityscape Award to recognize outstanding architecture, urban design, landscape and public areas which improve the quality of life for local communities.
The award trophies are exquisite, hand-crafted Italian Murano, which is considered to be a unique memento.
The CSI awards is mainly recognizing talent across the country in the real estate industry, just not the metros but tier I and tier II cities as well.
“We have noticed that very often Architects and Builders from smaller cities have immense potential, but their talent is unrecognized. Thus, our endeavor is to recognize their talent and contribution towards the real estate industry, we plan to take these awards to over 30 cities across the country in the coming year. This will be the first time in India, said, Mr. Sanjay Ghorpade, Vice President – Marketing, Construction Source India.
“The selection criterion of CSI Awards for Architects & Builders are track records, construction quality, choice of construction material used, financials, project execution practices, green ethics and overall safety and systems, public popularity. In the selection stage, the finalist are evaluated based on their previous projects and most importantly timely execution and waste disposal methods”, added Mr. Ghorpade.
