Assistance for old age Homes

Financial assistance is provided to Government/Non-Governmental Organizations, Panchayati Raj Institutions, local bodies etc. for running and maintenance of Old Age Homes etc. under the Scheme of Integrated Programme for Older Persons (IPOP) of the Ministry. There is no Scheme for providing financial assistance to Government/Non-Governmental Organisations, Panchayati Raj Institutions, local bodies etc. for construction of Old Age Homes. A State/UT wise statement of Old Age Homes assisted and amount of grant-in-aid released for running and maintenance of Old Age Homes during last three years and in the current financial year is enclosed as Annexure.
