Building permits will be issued online soon, GHMC

The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) commissioner MT Krishna Babu has instructed to town planning department officers to ease the building permission procedure and make it online comprising accepting online applications. The commissioner said that application particularly for ground plus five floors may be given a unique user ID to get the status of their applications.
During the review meeting of town planning discussing issues, the commissioner said that there are several illegal constructions are coming up in the region and there is no people-friendly mechanism to give building permissions.
“We will write to district collector to send the recent latest town survey and land records (TSLR) to sort out issues pertaining to permissions on a priority basis,” commissioner said.
He added that, due to the mistakes of some officers people have to roam around the office to solve the issues regarding the getting permission for their construction.
