CM rewarded to Mhada to revamp Daharavi sector5

Eventually State CM Prithviraj Chavan has handed over the much awaited Dharavi redevelopment Rs.60, 000 Cr project to Mhada and not to any private developer.
As Dharavi slum has covered the area of 7, 55, 14, 000 sq ft. Survey reports saying that 3, 23, 65,000 sq feet is required to rehabilitate it means left part of the slum 4, 31, 49000 sq ft is for the developers and commercial use. The current rate of market of Dharavi is Rs.16, 000 per sq ft so 4, 31, 49000 sq ft with around Rs.60, 000 Cr project.
According to sources redevelopment will be on the 3cr sq ft and provide 300sq ft house for each also said that after rehabilitating to slum dwellers the left area would be auctioned at the current market value as auction would generate the huge revenues. In 2009 Brihanc MKumbai Corporation submits the report it says that around 63% Dharavi slum dwellers were illegible for free houses and rehabilitation.
In 2004 when state government had planned to redevelop the Asia’s largest slum into the plush township then at that time 19 developers were interested in this project. The then authorities had appointed a Mashal non-government agency to conduct biometric survey has said that 31% residents of the sector5 of Dharavi slum are non-illegible to providing free house or rehabilitate under this scheme. As they have moved to Dharavi after the 1st Jan, 2000. After the submission of the report everything was finalized only the last bid had to be confirmed but due to the sudden announcement of state assembly election, project had taken the pause. Though the project has been sanctioned by the state government and also funded by the international banks too but so far facing the hurdles. And eventually Mhada got the Rs. 60,000 Cr. project to redevelop Asia’s largest slum.

Listening from many years that Dharavi will get redeveloped but crores of rupees is just gone in planning.
I really dont know when the redevelopment will start and when the people of Dharavi will be free from a tagline “SLUM DWELLER” which is affecting the future of the youth in Dharavi.
