Space is one of the most precious issues in cities like Mumbai as the ever growing demand for space cannot be fulfilled with the present development scenario. With the non – availability of land for Real Estate development in Mumbai, the only option remains for the developments to go vertical than horizontal. Mumbai already has a few residential as well as commercial high rise structures. Now with the permissions to go much higher, various well known construction houses have come forward with their projects in the city. Mumbai already has about 35 such tall structures above 25 floors in the city. Presently the Imperial Twin Towers by Shapoorji Pallonji , is the dominating tallest residential structure which shall be replaced by ‘World one’ that is being developed by Lodhas at South Mumbai. Some of the projects are at the approval stage where as some of them have already started with their initial phase.

Following the foot prints of Mumbai, Many other cities in the country are also developing the trend of the high rise structures.
With the boom in the real estate sector, the capital of the country, Delhi shall have 3 towers in and around the city including the Gurgaon, noida and and Haryana region. Many others are still in the pipe line.
