Developers have to be cautious while constructing towers: HC
Mumbai: The Bombay High court asked to BMC to make sure that builders are taking all the safety measures while constructing the high-rises, referring to a recent incident where a tree fell on an official of an equity firm, killing him.
A petition filed by the Walkeshwar resident Pradip Vakil, his wife Sandhya, and daughter Jahnvi against a 12-sto0reyed construction by Lakshachandi Columbia Developers close to their building was, for causing inconvenience and being a health hazard and this case has been heard by a division bench of justice comprised of Justice P B Majmudar and Justice R M Sawant. Bench of justice also referred several similar examples and ordered to take precautions while constructing big towers.
