Dow Corning announces India launch of international Quality Bond™ initiative

Quality Bond™ to help encourage higher quality standards for façade construction

Mumbai, India: Dow Corning, a global leader in silicones, silicon-based technology and innovation, announced the launch of its Quality Bond™ program for the rapidly growing Indian structural glazing and insulating glass market.
Quality Bond™ from Dow Corning takes silicone bonding and sealing to a new level through the introduction of a set of services and commitments, along with technical training. It brings together all members in the construction project value chain, such as façade consultants and design engineers, fabricators and processors, developers and architects. The Quality Bond™ program provides in-house and on-site training to fabricators and insulating glass processors. This program is supported by Dow Corning’s state-of-the-art laboratory facilities, proven products, as well as best industry practices in quality control and assurance. This program demonstrates Dow Corning’s dedication toward encouraging higher quality standards, as well as the company’s continuing commitment to its valued customers in the Indian construction market.

Dow Corning launched Quality Bond™ in India in June 2011, and already has six certified members – Alufit India Pvt. Ltd., Aluplex India Pvt. Ltd., FG Glass Industries Pvt. Ltd., Glass-wall Systems India Pvt. Ltd., GSC Glass Ltd., and Sobha Developers Pvt Ltd (Glazing Division)
Certified Quality Bond™ members will benefit from Dow Corning’s active support in implementing strict quality control and assurance regimes, along with testing and regular audits. Quality Bond™ will also enhance knowledge transfer to partners in the value chain, with early-phase material selection and project support. In addition, Dow Corning will provide certified members with industry referrals, thus helping enhance their business-to-business marketing and networking efforts.
