Lavasa got green signal from Environment Ministry
New Delhi:
On Wednesday Union Environment Ministry has granted the clearance for green hurdle to the most disputed multi-crore land Lavasa project close to Pune but on several regulations.
As per the government order says “Environment Ministry has approved the project under the provisions of Environmental Impact Assessment Notification, 2006 and its subsequent amendments, subjected to strict compliance of rules and regulations.”
Environment Minstry’s decision came in the aftermath of the complaint filed by the Maharashtra Govt against the Lavasa Hill City project citing that project is violating the environment norms.
“We have now got environment clearance from the Ministry of Environment and Forests and the stakeholders will be happy to hear this,” a relieved Ajit Gulabchand, Chairman, Lavasa Corporation, said.
