Believing in the significance of academic and cultural understanding and cooperation, Magarpatta City Institute of Management and Technology, Pune and Georgia College & State
Universities (GCSU), USA have entered into a memorandum of understanding. The scope of the
MOU includes co-operation between the two institutions particularly in academic development,
research, exchange of students, faculty as well as staff to enrich campus internationalization and
advance global understanding. Georgia College & State University shall explore the feasibility of sending its BBA & MBA students to Magarpatta City Institute of Management and Technology for training. The two institutions shall encourage the offering of short, specialized management development programmes.
The main objective of the institution is to acquire stature of an institute of higher learning respected by all the stakeholders for its strong linkages to the world of practice in new as well as old economy. Its Mission is to develop ready to deploy managers and technocrats who are capable of making meaningful contribution not only to their profession but also to society at large and Philosophy is -Benchmarking with the best.
Magarpatta City Institute of Management & Technology apart is a scientifically designed experiential learning program and management laboratory. This involves creation and management of social ventures by students. Management laboratory enables students learn practical applications of theoretical concepts. Another initiative of the Magarpatta City Institute of Management & Technology is titled ‘Campus to Corporate’ (C to C) to facilitate smooth transition from student life to corporate world. The program has been designed in consultation with experts from the industry keeping in mind the profile of work a young manager is expected to undertake and addresses gaps in knowledge, skills, attitudes and values required for a successful managerial career. It is spread over four semesters and runs parallel to the University curriculum. Since its inception last year summer projects have been the first step towards internship with the top corporate to groom the students for a successful career.
