Maha govt deterred Pune Land Acquisition due to Violence
Pune: Maharashtra Government has issued stop order to land acquisition following to the violence took place on Tuesday, pipeline laying work in Mawal tehsil of Pune. And in the aftermath of Police firing will be investigated by the former high court judge, said by the State Home Minister RR Patil in the Assembly on the next day of the violence.
The anti land acquisition protest has turned violent on Tuesday in Pune when farmers tried to blocked the Mumbai-Pune expressway. After truing mob violent police fired three protesters were killed.
According to the State Home Minister RR Patil, police opened firing at mob when situation went beyond the control. Also he informed to House that Pune district collector has issued orders to stop the land acquisition and work for laying the pipeline in Mawal. Additional state reserve police force has been deployed to ensure peace.
