MMRDA to build 5 flyovers at Bhiwandi and Mumbai-Pune roads

The estimated project cost of Rs 200 crore to ease traffic bottlenecks at strategic junctions
Mumbai, April 19, 2011: The Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority (MMRDA) is planning to plug the major traffic bottlenecks to ease it out at major traffic junctions and entry points of MMR. The projects under planning stage would be flyovers at Shil Phata junction, Mumbra bypass junction, Mankoli junction, Ranjoli junction and Vanjarpatti junction at the total estimated cost of Rs 200 crore.
The proposed flyovers includes, one at Shil-Phata on the National Highway (NH) -4 which is also connected by Shil Phata Mahape Road and further extends towards Kalyan junction. Another flyover would be at Mumbra bypass junction towards Panvel.
Third flyover would be at Mankoli junction at Bhiwandi bypass on the NH-3. There would be a flyover at Ranjoli junction on NH-3 at the intersection of Bhiwandi bypass on Kalyan-Bhiwandi Road NH-222 and fifth flyover to come up at Vanjarpatti Naka on Bhiwandi junction of Old NH-3 on Bhiwandi-Wada road.
Mr Dilip Kawathkar, Joint Project Director (PR), MMRDA, said, “These much-required flyovers would ease out the traffic movement. The flyovers are planned at all critical entry points of MMR. Moreover, it would also enable exponential growth of the region alongside the Virar-Alibaug Corridor,” The points of projects are key connecting points of two major cities close to MMR namely, Pune and Nashik.

    please urgenty constract bhiwandi-kalyan flyover to prevent daily accident and take blessings of all who are alive and yet travelling.
