Pune will get 4% for green zones construction: CM

In a high level meeting spearheaded by chief minister Prithviraj Chavan has given the green signal for four per cent construction in the proposed bio-diversity parks (BDPs) across the city.
On the other hand, recently Deputy CM has expressed his opposition to any construction in the green zones, whereas he shows favour being construction.
The 23villages those have got approval for development plan (DP) included in the Pune municipal territories gains momentum. The DP is still in process as it is waiting for CM’s signature, sources said.
Senior officials of state government has firmly opposed the construction in BDPs, according to them BDPs were impractical. That “state government and Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) may not be able to compensate to the farmers whose land would have to be acquired for the BDPs, officials added.
