Rebate on dues for Property Tax defaulters: KDMC

The Kalyan-Dombivli Municipal Corporation (KDMC) has given a discount to property tax defaulters on their dues. According to the reports approx 40,000 residents yet haven’t paid their property tax.
The commissioner of KDMC Ramnath Sonawne has said that “the decision has been taken in favour of corporation to increase fund.” Under the proposed policy defaulter who haven’t paid their dues for more than five years will get 10% discount whereas who haven’t paid tax for more than two years get 7% off on their pending dues.
The corporation has come out with this decision after the KDMC general body’s decision to give relief those are unable to pay their dues. The KDMC has estimated the 107crores fund after the completion of collection process from defaulters’ dues.
