RInfra signs Concession Agreement for Delhi – Agra Road

Delhi – Agra road, a Six laning of 180 km long project, estimated to be around Rs 3000 crore.
Becomes the largest road developer in 6 lane road projects with 3 projects of 380 Kms.
Becomes the largest concessionaire of NHAI in road sector.

Mumbai, July 19, 2010: Reliance Infrastructure Ltd. (RInfra), India’s Largest infrastructure company) has signed the concession agreement for the Delhi – Agra Road project. The Company, after winning the competitive bidding, had won Delhi – Agra six laning road projects from the National Highway Authority of India (NHAI).

This project is to be executed on Design, Build, Finance, Operate and Transfer (toll) basis with a concession period of 24 years, including the construction period. The project will be implemented with an estimated cost of Rs.3000 crore.

The project is currently operational and we expect the widening to 6 lanes be completed in 36 months. Along with it, the company‘s total road portfolio has 9 projects starting generating revenues by the end of FY 2011.

After winning the Delhi – Agra Road project and signing of the Concession Agreement, RInfra ranks as one of the largest concessionaire of the NHAI. Currently, the Company is developing 11 road projects aggregating the length of 970 Kms. with a cost outlay of Rs.12000 crore. RINFRA is now the largest developer of the six lanes road projects with three six laning projects under development, having a length of 380 Kms.
