Skywalking is an enjoyable experience – Bandra resident
Now we don’t worry about muck splashing cars – Santacruz resident
Skywalks are a boon for absent-minded professors – Borivli resident
Am not worried of open manholes any more – Kalyan resident
Mumbai, June 16, 2010 – As the rain gods have begun to adorn the city, the Mumbaikars realize that the skywalks across Mumbai are raining comforts for them! “Yes, skywalking is proving to be an enjoyable experience as I neither have to worry about crossing the water logged roads nor about the open manholes”, says Mr.Satish Malatpure, a Bandra resident who works for Home Department, Mantralaya.
Ms.Ashwini Todankar, a Borivli resident who travels to Santacruz to reach Mumbai University campus for her Masters degree said, “I think skywalks are a boon for absent-minded professors who more often than not forget to carry umbrella. The skywalks can still reach them to the station”.
“Santacruz East to Santacruz West is a pretty long distance. However, with the connected skywalks the journey has become comfortable. I do have to walk a bit, but with no hawkers on the way the walk becomes easy. Most importantly, we now do not have to bother about the muck-splashing cars”, exclaims Mr.Dhaval Shah, a Santacruz East resident and an Insurance Agent with LIC.
Ms.Rachita Shiwalkar, a resident of Kalyan, used to be a scared commuter when it came to open manholes, facing chaos caused by the crowding cars and hawkers. But not any more. “The Kalyan skywalk has, in fact, freed me of all such worries. I am sure many commuters like me have been freed of these worries”, she concludes.
