SRK got legal notice from MCZMA
Mumbai: The Maharashtra Coastal Zone Management Authority (MCZMA) has issue a notice to bollywood super star Shahrukh Khan (SRK) to respond in writing to allegations of CRZ violations during the construction of his Bandstand home, Mannat.
As on 12 March, 2009 MCZMA had decided to issue a legal notice to SRK under section 5 Environment Protection Act (EPA), 1986, asking him to respond with details, after complaint lodged by activist Amit Maru. His complains cited several allegations such as violations, including coastal, during the construction of Mannat. But yet there is no response from the actor. Whereas, activist Amit Maru’s advocate Y P Singh said that “after lodging complaint for long time when we haven’t received any response from actor side, then we have lodged complaint under section 19 of the EPA in July this year, which requires one to give a notice period of 60 days to appropriate authorities to respond.”
