State government to appoint a committee against high-rise graft cases

In order to stop the corruption in granting approvals to the high rise structures in Mumbai, the state government of Maharashtra shall soon announce a committee that would deal with such matters.

 A cell would be set up under the Urban Development Department (UDD) to consider corruption complaints against the committee formed to approve the high rise buildings in the city.

Recently a person on a government committee granting permissions for high rise towers and his two associates were caught taking a bribe of 15 lakh rupees.
