Super Built-up in Height now

Carpet super built-up cannot be defined and are in practice for years, cheating homes buyers left right and centre. No Act or any provision of the Acts for the time being inforce had defined super built up area concept. Government of Maharashtra, in its housing policy, have specifically provided that super buit up concept must be stopped and transparent deals must be practice. Inspite of providing in Maharashtra Apartment Ownership Act, under model agreement, carpet area must be mentioned in sq. mtrs only. But authorities are still accepting and registering documents which solely favours seller / builders.
The buyer never know that what for he is paying. Now super built up is seen in heights one gets in a home. Development Control Regulation in Mumbai and elsewhere in the country specifically identify the floor to roof height. But inspite of such provisions, heights of floor to roof is reducing. They count in foor instead of meters. Saving six inch one floor in 18 stored building will save them a entire one floor. Super built up in height will leads to more confusion and new way of cheating home buyers in the country.
